Nick is an australian born artist and illustrator living in England. His artworks are a complex mix of color and texture. Nick uses his careful technique to give form to his childhood memories and to a modern mythology populated by characters living of the edge of this and of the spiritual world. More on his website and after the cut!
Danny was born in Schiedam, the Netherlands, in 1972 and looking at his art is like a out of body experience. You see strange things and your brain catalogs them as usual routine. You see past lives shots and it is like you really remember them. You see his 2D and 3D illustration and you feel normal. These are the 3 reason why I love him. Check him out here and after the cut!
shichigoro-shingo joined the Keep a Breast Foundation‘s Tokyo Love Show with his reinterpretation of steam punk worlds. You can see above (and after the cut the back of the cast) his breast cast in full old tech quality!
[Elena Rapa - La prima stagione]
Elena and Dast decided to make an initiation journey to prepare themselves to the next 21/12/2012 prophecies. It starts from the body and soul exploration, then they study the mutation, and after that the apocalypse and at the end the newborn life.
The show will open tomorrow – April 6th – at Fabrica Fluxus Art Gallery in Bari, Italy. Don’t miss it (or at least get in touch with them for a catalog!)
And I had the honor to write e text about the mutation for the catalog of the exhibition’s catalog. More images after the cut!
Oscar was born in Zaragozza (Spain) in 1972. He reveals a different world with mixed media creations, from illustration to assemblage dioramas; while I was lookin at his images all the sci fi books of the 50s and 60s I read popped up in my mind. They were wild and extremely generous in exploring new worlds; they had so many ideas deep inside their pages.. just like in Oscar‘s art: a mix of metaphysical, steam punk and poor art. Amazing! More after the cut!

What does “patterns” means to you?
I find patterns very satisfying, mesmerising. I remember I was in Barcelona once on a very stressful work trip. My head was full of thought that I couldn’t sleep. Eventually I noticed the beautifully decorated tiles on the floor and my thoughts got lost in the design, the repeats, the details and the grand picture. Possibly patterns are for me what numbers are for a mathematician, I always try to find the rules that hold the design together.
Vladimir Gvozdev was born in ’66 in Russia. He is one of the most underrated artist in the steam punk world and not only. His 3D collages are amazing pieces of art. Not just for the ucronian and victorian fans.

THE ENCHANTED FOREST
Curated by Giovanni Cervi & Yasha Young
Musei Civici 17 Giugno – 31 Agosto
Palazzo S. Francesco, via Spallanzani 1
Every single minute a surface equal to 36 football fields disappear from our planet Earth. The removal of trees without sufficient reforestation has resulted in damage to habitat, biodiversity loss and aridity. Deforested regions typically incur significant adverse soil erosion and frequently degrade into wasteland. Deforestation accounts for up to 20 percent of the global greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to global warming, with the effects on climate changing that we’re watching almost every day in the news.
In occasion of the United Nation’s International Year of Forests, Musei Civici present THE ENCHANTED FOREST, an international charity group show dedicated to the forests and their inhabitants. Some rooms of the Museum will be turned into a magic garden by delicate, innocent, mutating to survive creatures.
We cannot survive in a habitat made of our own waste.
